Beers Arrested on Meth Charges

(Quincy)--A consent search was conducted by the West Central Illinois Task Force at
2423 St. Anthony Road in Quincy early Wednesday evening.

A search of the property revealed items consistent with the use of methamphetamine.
Resident Diane M. Beers, age 24 was arrested on the charge of Unlawful
Possession of Methamphetamine.

Beers who was out on bond from a April 9th arrest for Aggravated Unlawful
Participation in Methamphetamine Production was transported to the Adams
County Jail on the new charge.  Beers was later released after posting the
necessary bond.  Adams County court records indicate that Beers is
scheduled for a November jury trial on the original case.

The task force was assisted in the investigation by the Adams County
Sheriffs Office, Quincy Police Department K-9 Unit, and the Illinois
Department of Children and Family Services.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
