An autopsy has determined that an Ursa man found in the Mississippi River over the weekend was a drowning victim.

The body of 77-year-old Ronald Harness was found May 10. He was last seen leaving his home on a fishing trip five days earlier.

Harness left with his dog around noon on May 5, launching his boat from the Bear Creek boat launch. He was reported missing late that night.

A number of agencies, including the Quincy Adams County Volunteer Emergency Corps and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources assisted in the search.
