(Hannibal,Mo)--Conservative author and speaker Phyllis Schlafly spoke to a crowd of nearly 40 people Sunday afternoon at the Roland Fine Arts Center of Hannibal LaGrange University. She was among several speakers helping to kick off a 6-day bus tour throughout Missouri known as the "No McCaskill" tour, as they make the case against incumbent Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill who is opposed by Republican Todd Akin. Schlafly and others including State Representative Lindell Shumake spoke on what they termed the "clear differences" between the parties when it comes to conservative values. Those attending were given voter guides containing information compiled by MissouriFamilyNetwork.net on various candidates and Missouri ballot measures. Some purchased autographed books written by Schlafly as well.
After her speech, I was able to pull Mrs. Schlafly aside for a couple of minutes for a quick chat..
