Audrain Co Crash Leaves One Injured, One Dead

A one-vehicle crash in Audrain County claims the life of a Mexico teen. 

Missouri Troopers report the crash occurred on County Road 355 near MO 15 at 4:25 a.m. Friday.

Twenty year old Jesse Smith of Mexico was driving a Chevrolet HHR that ran off the roadway and struck the ground.  The vehicle overturned and slid into a tree.

Smith suffered serious injuries and was life flighted to University Hospital in Columbia.

A passenger, 18 year old Michael Cunningham was pronounced dead at the scene.
