Arrest Made in Shooting Death of LaHarpe Woman

A teenager has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a LaHarpe woman on New Year’s Day.

According to Hancock County State’s Attorney Josh Pohren, a 17 year old male was arrested Monday and made his first court appearance Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities were called to a residence in LaHarpe early Monday morning in connection with the shooting death of 19 year old Madison Finch of LaHarpe.

Pohren says his office has filed various charges against the suspect and intends to have the matter transferred to criminal court.
