Quincy Police say a man wanted on attempted first degree murder charge in Quincy is in custody.

Police say Nicholas Gavin was taken into custody March 2nd in Bolingbrook Illinois. Police say Gavin is charged with attempted first degree murder in the November 28th shooting of a Quincy man at 4th and Chestnut. Gavin was transported to Quincy on Saturday and is held in the Adams County Jail on one million dollars bond. Police say the shooting victim—33 year old Robert Phillips was treated at Blessing Hospital for a serious gunshot wound. He has since been released from the hospital.
