A man is accused of threatening to kill his sister after an argument over rabbits.

Twenty-four-year-old Jason Estep of Hannibal is charged with felony assault and armed criminal action. He’s accused of threatening his sister and swinging a knife at her on the night of May 21st at a home near Highway E north of Curryville. In a probable cause statement, authorities said the victim told them the two had gotten into an argument over rabbits that once belonged to the suspect. The Pike County Sheriff’s Department said Estep was taken into custody in Hannibal without incident. Bond was set at 25 thousand cash-only. A Pike County court date is pending.
