Corn and soybean crops in Missouri are well ahead of the norms.

The latest weekly crop report shows 91 percent of the state’s corn has silked. That’s 36 percent ahead of this time last year and 17 percent ahead of the five-year average.    Soybean blooming was almost half complete, with the crop rated at almost 80 percent good to excellent.

Rainfall was down for the week across the state, but soil moisture and pasture conditions remained strong.
