A motion for a delay in the first degree murder trial of Curtis Lovelace is granted.

Judge Bob Hardwick agreed to the delay requested by Lovelace’s attorneys. They filed the motion last week saying there is additional discovery from both sides regarding the case. Special Prosecutor Ed Parkinson opposed the continuance stating continuances have been granted five times and his legal team is ready for trial. Lovelace is accused of killing his first wife—Cory Lovelace on Valentine’s Day 2006.
