‘Angel Priest’ in Center, Missouri Identified

A local mystery has been solved. For the past several days, authorities have been trying to identify a mysterious priest that stopped to pray with a woman trapped under her car following a head-on collision near Center, Missouri. According to witnesses, the priest seemed to appear out of nowhere, prayed with the woman, and then mysteriously vanished. Some had speculated that the priest had actually been an angel. KHQA is now reporting that the priest has been identified. 

Rev. Patrick Dowling, a priest in the Jefferson City Diocese, was travelling Highway 19 between mass assignments that morning in northern and central Missouri."

The story of Center's "angel priest" had been picked up by both national and international news agencies.
