Anderson Makes First Court Appearance on Attempted Robbery Charges

A date has been set for a preliminary hearing for a Hannibal juvenile who will be tried as an adult on attempted robbery charges.

16 year old Austin Anderson appeared via videoconference in Marion County Circuit Court Friday.

His preliminary hearing was set for April 10th.

Anderson is alleged to have provided weapons used in an attempted robbery that resulted in the shooting of Ronald Gillum, Jr.

Others involved in the incident include Stephanie Pettitt, who got probation in exchange for her cooperation, Thomas Willemarck, who will be sentenced next week, and John Newman, who has a court date Monday for attempted robbery and armed criminal action.
