Another icon for us baby boomers has died with the passing of Dick Clark.

You've probably heard and seen a lot since mid-afternoon Wednesday when the news of Clark's passing was announced. So, you know the story of his over three decades as host of American Bandstand, and, of course, New Year's Eve.

The thing that always impressed me about Dick Clark was his versatility. Whether hosting a music show, a game show, bloopers and practical jokes, or New Year's Rockin' Eve, Dick Clark was always ... well, Dick Clark. Plus, he was a media mogul as well. If there was an awards show on TV, more than likely it was produced by Dick Clark Productions.

And, Dick Clark has made his way into my vocabulary. Sometimes, when I'm in a group and we're listening to a song, I will find myself saying, "It's got a good beat and it's easy to dance to. I'll give it a 75, Dick."

Thanks for everything, Dick.
