Aldermanic Candidate Withdraws from Municipal Election

A candidate for alderman in Hannibal’s Sixth Ward has dropped out of next month’s municipal election.

According to City Clerk Angel Zerbonia, candidate Steven Meyer has withdrawn from the Sixth Ward race, leaving Jeff Veach as the only candidate on the ballot.

Meyer’s name will still be on the April 4th ballot, and if he wins the election, he will have to refuse the seat.

The current Sixth Ward alderman, Jamie Locke is not running for re-election.
