Detectives assigned to the Hannibal Police Department Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant Tuesday (July 30) afternoon at a residence in the 2100 block of Spruce St. During the course of the search detectives located a substance believed to be Heroin, 2 semi automatic pistols and material commonly used to distribute illegal narcotics.

27-year-old Tateouna R. Agnew, of Hannibal, was taken into custody at the residence and charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Agnew was placed in the Marion County Jail on a 24 hour hold pending warrants. This search warrant was part of a continuing investigation into illegal distribution of narcotics in the area.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
