More charges have been filed against a Hannibal man originally picked up Monday on a warrant for violating an order of protection.

In a press release, Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton says that a total of seven charges have been filed against 36 year old Jason Coulter.

Along with the protection order violation, charges filed Thursday against Coulter include domestic assault, burglary, possession of a controlled substance, resisting a lawful stop by fleeing, property damage and possession of marijuana.

Clayton says that Coulter has a history of violent behavior, with prior convictions for assaulting an officer and burglary.

Coulter is lodged in the Marion County Jail.
