Three alcohol related arrests result from extra enforcement work in western Illinois.

Illinois State Police say a roadside safety check late Wednesday night and early Thursday in Adams County morning resulted in 14 citations or arrests and 21 written warnings. Troopers say the checks are designed to remove alcohol impaired drivers but that enforcement action may be taken for various other violations.

This safety check resulted in one arrest for driving under the influence, two other alcohol or drug arrests, four occupant restraint offenses and two drivers license offenses.
