Adams County Real Estate Tax Payment Due Tuesday

The Adams County Collector reminds property owners that second installment real estate taxes are due Tuesday.

Treasurer Terry Asher reminds county residents that their second tax payment is due by midnight September 1.

Payments sent by mail must be postmarked on or before the first. Most local banks also accept tax payments through Tuesday.

Taxpayers who want to pay at the collector’s office are reminded that the office is open from 8:30 a.m. till 4:30 p.m., and there is a 24-hour drop box near the 5th Street entrance.

Payments can also be made on line or by phone.

There is a one-and-a-half percent late fee for any payments made after September 1.
