Adams County Deputies report a two-vehicle crash in Liberty results in serious injuries for two occupants of an SUV.

The collision happened at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Highway 104 and North 1050th Ave. Deputies say a Dodge pickup driven by 27 year old Michael Leapley of Liberty attempted to cross Highway 104 and struck an oncoming SUV driven by 31-year-old Gloria Stanton of Meredosia. The impact caused the SUV to land on the driver’s side near the intersection.

Stanton and a juvenile passenger suffered serious injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle. Stanton went to Blessing Hospital by Air Evac. Two juvenile passengers were taken to Blessing by ambulance.

Leapley was uninjured in the crash. He was issued a citation for failure to yield at an intersection.
