Adams County Crash Injures 7 People

A two-car crash in Adams County sends 7 people from Quincy to Blessing Hospital.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Department responded to the intersection of E1700th and 1073rd Lane at 5:18 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies report a car driven by 86 year-old Marjorie Niekamp pulled out of a private drive into the path of an SUV driven by 18 year-old Brenan Perry. The impact caused the Perry vehicle to travel off the roadway and overturn.

Brenan Perry suffered serious injuries. A passenger, 48 year-old James Perry was ejected from the vehicle.  He was seriously injured and was taken to Blessing Hospital by Air Evac.  Three minor passengers in the Perry vehicle escaped with minor injuries.

Marjorie Niekamp suffered minor injuries.  Her passenger, 60 year-old Juanita Niekamp sustained serious injuries.

Deputies charged Marjorie Niekamp with Failure to Yield while Turning Left.
