Adams County Coroner Under Investigation

An investigation is underway targeting Adams County Coroner Jim Keller.
A special prosecutor has been appointed in the investigation being conducted through the Illinois Office of the State’s Attorney Appellate Prosecutor. Adams County State’s Attorney Gary Farha says they were notified of a citizen’s complaint against Keller that was turned over for investigation. County officials say Keller has been locked out of all county systems and buildings since Saturday morning. Keller recently submitted a letter of resignation effective July 10th. He has served as coroner since 2011 and has been with the Coroner’s office since 1988.
