Adams County Adopts New Indigent Death Policy

A new indigent death policy is now in place for Adams County. The change follows numerous complaints. Under the new policy, family members sign an affidavit saying they and the decedent don't have money--taking that duty off of the coroner's shoulders. Adams County Board members passed the new policy unanimously.  Board members also plan to start taking advantage of state funds to cover indigent burials as needed.
