(UNDATED)—It’s been a noisy Monday morning across much of northeast Missouri and western Illinois. Strong to severe thunderstorms rolled through shortly before sunrise leaving hail on the ground in some areas.

A storm spotter reported quarter to dime size hail four miles west of Shelbyville at 5:16 this morning. Another spotter at LaGrange reports quarter size hail at 6:25. There were also reports of hail around ¾ inches in diameter in the Quincy area.
