Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore proposes a 34.2 million dollar city budget for the coming fiscal year.

That represents an increase of over seven percent from last year’s initial plan. The budget includes some special projects that will only be tackled if revenue meets projections. The budget proposal also projects a 50 percent increase in cash reserves and a 48-thousand dollar general fund surplus. Moore says the budget also includes projects designed to reduce liabilities and invest infrastructure including maintenance issues in City Hall. Those projects would be proposed if state funding remains intact.
