(MACON)—A Macon woman is dead after the Missouri Highway Patrol says she pulled into the path of a car on US 36 at Kellogg Avenue in Macon at 4:15 Thursday afternoon. Troopers say 72 year old Kathleen Gentner was pronounced dead by Macon County Coroner Brian Hayes. The driver of the other car—18 year old Bethany Dodd of Shelbyville sustained minor injuries as did another passenger in her car—25 year old Sara Hatfield of Shelbina. 5 year old Wyatt Hatfield was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of moderate injuries.

(NOVELTY)—A two vehicle crash near a hillcrest on Missouri 156 four miles west of Novelty at 5:10 Thursday afternoon results in minor injuries for one of the drivers. The Missouri Highway Patrol says vehicles driven by 26 year old Darrell Shepard and 33 year old Clifford Head of Novelty sideswiped. Shepard was taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for treatment.

(HANNIBAL)—A one vehicle crash on US 36 at Bear Creek west of Hannibal results in minor injuries for a Queen City woman. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a trailer being towed by 77 year old Rachel Alexander began to sway out of control. Troopers say Alexander’s vehicle went off the road and hit a guardrail and bridge railing. Alexander was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
