On 01/15/13 at approximately 10:15 p.m., agents with the West Central Illinois Task Force, officers with the Quincy Police Department, and deputies with the Adams County Sheriffs Office served two search warrants on two rooms at the Days Inn Motel in Quincy.

Seized as a result of the searches were items consistent in the shake and bake methamphetamine manufacturing process. Arrested on the charges of Aggravated Participation in the Production of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Materials, and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine  were Yevette Y. Gholston, age 47, Daniel G. Johnston-Brown, age 36, and Kenneth Newland, age 35.  

All three subjects were transported to the Adams County Jail and remain in lieu of bond. Task Force officials report that the subjects were in the process of manufacturing meth during the service of the warrants. The Illinois State Police Methamphetamine Response Team was utilized to process the lab.
