US 61 Pleasant St./West Ely Work Starts Monday

(HANNIBAL)—Work is scheduled to begin this evening on the West Ely and Pleasant intersection with US 61 in Hannibal. Work will be done in the evening and overnight to avoid impacting the heavier daytime traffic. Crews will be working between 6 p-m and 7 a-m. MODOT says you can expect one lane traffic in both directions and a 35 mile per hour speed limit in the work zone area. Motorists may encounter rough and uneven pavement at times during construction. The project is expected to be complete in mid October.
