Two people are accused in southwestern Illinois of sexually assaulting a teenage girl authorities say was lured to a hotel and plied with drugs and alcohol.

The Belleville News-Democrat reports Madison County prosecutors have charged 36-year-old Anthony Redden Jr. and 33-year-old Jennifer Smith with four counts each of felony criminal sexual assault. Both are from Granite City.

Collinsville police allege Redden and Smith are family friends of the 14-year-old girl who investigators say was lured April 16 to a hotel and sexually attacked. Authorities say the girl, who was given drugs and alcohol, was unable to consent to the sex.

Online court records do not show whether Redden or Smith have attorneys. They do not have listed home telephone numbers.
