14th Drug Arrest

(HANNIBAL)—Hannibal Police make a 14th arrest Tuesday as the result of an ongoing drug investigation.

21 year old Schalan Mattox was observed riding in a vehicle on West Ely. A traffic stop was initiated and Mattox was taken into custody on charges of distribution of marijuana. He’s held in the Marion County Jail on 100-thousand dollars cash only bond.

Police also arrested two other passengers identified as 20 year old David Mayfield of Hannibal and 19 year old Brittany Chamberlain of Palmyra. Police reports say Mayfield was in possession of what’s believed to be heroin. Chamberlain was arrested on a Marion County warrant for possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana.

Police continue to look for a 15th subject following a lengthy drug investigation.
